Armagh’s food and drink scene will take centre stage this September when the Armagh Food & Cider Festival returns for four days of local produce, orchard culture and food-led events.
The festival will run from 3 to 6 September 2026, with more than 40 experiences planned across the Orchard County. The programme is designed to give Armagh residents the chance to discover local food and cider close to home while also showcasing the region’s producers, hospitality and long-established orchard tradition to visitors.
What is planned
Family-run orchards, cider makers, chefs and artisan producers will feature throughout the programme. Activities will range from informal food experiences to practical sessions focused on how local food and drink are made.
Planned events include fire-cooked feasts, orchard tours, artisan markets, cocktail masterclasses and afternoon teas. The Woodland Supper will invite guests to dine beneath the trees, adding an outdoor setting to the festival’s food programme.
Visitors will also have the opportunity to explore a working cider orchard with Long Meadow Cider and learn more about the production behind Armagh’s cider offering. The festival’s Cider & Screams event will bring a murder-mystery element to the schedule, with guests challenged to put their detective skills to the test.
For those looking for a practical activity, Cooking with Fire will offer a hands-on session preparing food over an open fire. Across the wider programme, attendees will be able to move between orchard activities, food events and experiences led by local producers.
Tickets and the Armagh Bramley Apple
Tickets and further information are available through Visit Armagh’s food and cider festival website. Booking arrangements can vary between individual experiences, so anyone planning to attend is advised to check the official listing for each event before booking.
The festival will celebrate the PGI Armagh Bramley Apple, as well as the people, producers and stories connected to the region’s food and drink tradition. The focus on the Bramley reflects Armagh’s established identity as an orchard region.
With afternoon teas, artisan markets, interactive cooking, orchard visits and cider experiences, the four-day event will offer residents and visitors several ways to engage with Armagh’s food traditions in September.
