Armagh’s food and drink scene will take centre stage this September as the Armagh Food & Cider Festival returns with more than 40 experiences planned across four days.

The festival will run from 3 to 6 September 2026, offering residents and visitors opportunities to explore local produce, orchard culture and food-led events across the Orchard County.

What is planned for the festival

Family-run orchards, cider makers, chefs and artisan producers will feature throughout the programme. The organisers’ schedule is set to combine informal food experiences with practical sessions showing how local food and drink are made.

Among the planned events are fire-cooked feasts, orchard tours, artisan markets, cocktail masterclasses and afternoon teas. The programme will also include the Woodland Supper, where guests will dine beneath the trees in an outdoor setting.

Visitors will be able to explore a working cider orchard with Long Meadow Cider and learn more about the production behind Armagh’s cider offering. The festival’s Cider & Screams event will add a murder-mystery theme, challenging guests to test their detective skills.

Cooking, cider and the Bramley apple

For those seeking a hands-on activity, Cooking with Fire will involve preparing food over an open fire. Across the wider programme, attendees will be able to move between orchard activities, food events and experiences led by local producers.

The festival will celebrate the PGI Armagh Bramley Apple, alongside the people, producers and stories connected with the region’s food and drink tradition. The focus on the Bramley apple reflects Armagh’s established identity as an orchard region.

With afternoon teas, artisan markets, interactive cooking, orchard visits and cider experiences, the event is designed to provide several ways for residents and visitors to engage with Armagh’s food traditions in September.
