An 81-year-old woman from Armagh has been named after dying at the scene of a fatal collision involving a lorry and a pedestrian in County Armagh.

Eithne Vallely died after the single-vehicle road accident, which happened at approximately 8.20am on Friday. Police said officers attended alongside other emergency services after receiving a report of the incident.

Medical treatment was provided at the scene, but Ms Vallely was pronounced deceased there. The report did not provide further details about the circumstances of the collision.

Emergency services attended

The Northern Ireland Ambulance Service confirmed that two emergency ambulances, a rapid response paramedic and the Charity Air Ambulance were sent to the incident. A HEMS crew was on board the air ambulance.
