An 81-year-old woman from Armagh has died after a collision involving a lorry and a pedestrian in County Armagh, with police now appealing for witnesses and information.

Eithne Vallely was pronounced deceased at the scene after the crash, which happened at approximately 8.20am on Friday. Medical treatment was provided, but Ms Vallely died at the location.

Emergency response at the scene

Police officers attended alongside other emergency services after the collision was reported. The Northern Ireland Ambulance Service sent a substantial response, including two emergency ambulances, a rapid response paramedic and the Charity Air Ambulance carrying a HEMS crew.
