Armagh’s food and drink scene will take centre stage from 3 to 6 September 2026, when the four-day Armagh Food & Cider Festival returns with more than 40 experiences planned across the Orchard County.
The programme will celebrate the world-famous PGI Armagh Bramley Apple and the people, producers and stories connected to the region’s food and drink tradition. Family-run orchards, cider makers, chefs and artisan producers will be central to the festival, which is designed to show how local products are made as well as offering opportunities to taste them.
What visitors can expect
Activities will include fire-cooked feasts, orchard tours, artisan markets, cocktail masterclasses and afternoon teas. The range of events is intended to offer something from relaxed food experiences to more hands-on activities.
One featured event is the Woodland Supper, where guests will dine beneath the trees. Visitors can also explore a working cider orchard with Long Meadow Cider, gaining a closer look at the production behind Armagh’s cider offering.
For those seeking a different kind of evening, Cider & Screams will be staged as a murder mystery experience designed to test guests’ detective skills. Cooking with Fire will focus on preparing food over an open fire in a hands-on setting.
Orchards, producers and local food
The festival’s focus on the Bramley apple reflects Armagh’s established orchard identity. Across the four-day programme, attendees will be able to move between orchard-based activities, food events and producer-led experiences.
For Armagh residents, the festival offers a chance to explore local food and cider close to home. Visitors will receive a concentrated introduction to the area’s produce, hospitality and orchard culture, with the programme ranging from afternoon tea to interactive cooking and cider experiences.
