Armagh’s food and drink scene will take centre stage this September as the Armagh Food & Cider Festival returns for four days, bringing more than 40 food, cider and orchard experiences to the Orchard County.

The festival will run from 3 to 6 September 2026, with a programme designed for both local residents and visitors. Organisers say the events will offer opportunities to explore local produce, orchard culture and food-led activities.

What is planned across Armagh

Family-run orchards, cider makers, chefs and artisan producers will feature throughout the schedule. The programme combines informal food experiences with practical sessions intended to show how local food and drink are made.

Among the planned activities are fire-cooked feasts, orchard tours, artisan markets, cocktail masterclasses and afternoon teas. The wider programme also includes interactive cooking, orchard visits and experiences led by local producers.

One featured event is the Woodland Supper, where guests will dine beneath the trees in an outdoor setting. Visitors will also be able to explore a working cider orchard with Long Meadow Cider and learn more about the production behind Armagh’s cider offering.

The festival’s Cider & Screams event will add a murder-mystery theme, inviting guests to test their detective skills while taking part in a cider-focused experience.

Cooking, cider and the Bramley apple

Those seeking a hands-on event can take part in Cooking with Fire, which involves preparing food over an open fire. Attendees will be able to move between orchard activities, food events and sessions led by local producers during the four-day programme.

The festival will celebrate the PGI Armagh Bramley Apple, alongside the people, producers and stories connected with the region’s food and drink tradition. Its focus on the Bramley apple reflects Armagh’s established identity as an orchard region.

With afternoon teas, artisan markets, interactive cooking, orchard visits and cider experiences, the festival is intended to give residents and visitors several ways to engage with Armagh’s food traditions during September.
