Keady will host three days of Irish folk music, song, storytelling and cultural activity when the Tommy Makem Folk Festival returns from Friday 6 to Sunday 8 November 2026.
The festival will be staged across multiple venues in Keady, Armagh, with a programme combining free-to-attend and ticketed events. It is presented as a community-led celebration of Tommy Makem, described by Visit Armagh as an influential Irish folk musician and a figure of cultural pride.
Concerts and performances
The opening event on Friday 6 November will be a Traditional Variety Concert, headlined by Matt Mancuso and John Whelan. The evening is planned as a showcase of traditional music and entertainment from renowned performers, with tickets available for the event.
On Saturday 7 November, audiences can attend The Dubliners Encore and Rory Makem Experience. The performance will celebrate Irish folk music and the songs and spirit associated with the internationally recognised group, alongside Rory Makem’s contribution to the programme.
