Students at St Patrick’s High School in Keady are celebrating an exceptional set of AS and A Level results, with the Class of 2026 achieving some of the strongest outcomes in the school’s history.
Many subject areas recorded a 100% A–C pass rate, according to the school. The results were attributed to the hard work, resilience and ambition of pupils, together with the dedication and expertise of teaching staff.
Students prepare for university and apprenticeships
The results will now open different routes for students as they move into the next stage of their education and careers. Members of the Class of 2026 are progressing to university courses in Medicine, Finance, Medicinal Chemistry, Nursing, Economics with Spanish, Engineering and Teaching.
Other students will begin higher-level apprenticeships or continue through further-education pathways. The school said the range of destinations reflected the ambition and achievement of its pupils.
Principal praises pupils, staff and families
Principal Kelley McKenna praised the students for the effort behind their results and thanked the wider school community for its support.
“We are thrilled that our pupils have been rewarded with great results. All the effort, time and commitment has paid off.
Ms McKenna also paid tribute to staff for their expertise, encouragement and commitment, while recognising the role played by parents and families during the students’ studies.
“I would like to pay tribute to our dedicated staff whose expertise, encouragement and unwavering commitment have helped our students achieve their potential.
She said the support and partnership of parents and families had been instrumental in helping the young people succeed. As students move towards university, apprenticeships and employment, the principal wished them success and happiness in the future.
The results were reported on August 14, 2026, as St Patrick’s High School, Keady, marked the achievements of its latest AS and A Level cohort.
