A new catering opportunity has been announced at Navan Centre & Fort, just outside Armagh City, as the heritage attraction looks to strengthen its food and drink offer for visitors.
Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon Borough Council is inviting potential operators to run the site’s café and food offering. The council says the opportunity comes amid growing visitor numbers, a busy events programme and increasing potential for group and corporate bookings.
What the successful operator will provide
The selected catering provider will have the opportunity to develop and operate a destination food and drink offer at Navan Centre & Fort. Catering may also be required for events, educational groups and tour operators.
The council is inviting ideas for innovative food and beverage concepts that fit the attraction’s heritage and brand, while supporting the borough’s reputation as Northern Ireland’s Food Heartland.
The provider will work in partnership with the council with the aim of improving visitor satisfaction, encouraging people to stay longer and supporting repeat visits. The opportunity is also intended to contribute to the long-term growth and success of Navan Centre & Fort.
Heritage attraction outside Armagh
Navan Centre & Fort is built around the ancient ceremonial site of Emain Mhacha, described by the council as the legendary capital of Ulster. The centre welcomes thousands of visitors each year through guided tours, living history experiences, education programmes, events, a gift shop and its Coffee Shop.
