A man escaped injury after a suspected petrol bomb was thrown through a window of a house in the Milford area of Armagh.
The attack happened at a property in the Anne Street area at approximately 10.25pm on Wednesday, September 9, according to the PSNI. The force said a window was smashed before the device was thrown inside.
Fire and smoke damage reported
Police officers attended alongside colleagues from the Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service. Fire and smoke damage was caused to the living room area, but no injuries were reported.
The occupant was inside the house when the attack took place and was able to leave the property moments after the item was thrown through the window.
Detective Sergeant Lyons said police were treating the incident as deliberate ignition. One line of enquiry is that two unknown males were involved.
Police said one suspect was wearing all dark clothing. The other was described as wearing a T-shirt and brown trousers, together with a face covering. They were reported to have left the scene on foot in the direction of the Monaghan Road.
Police appeal for information
Enquiries remain ongoing to establish the motive for the attack and identify those involved. Police are also seeking information from anyone who noticed suspicious behaviour in the area around the time of the report.
Anyone with information, including CCTV, dash-cam or other footage of the area, is asked to contact the PSNI on 101, quoting reference number 1697 09/09/26.

DUP MLA Gareth Wilson condemned the attack, saying the incident had the potential to place neighbouring homes and residents at risk. He said it would have caused concern in the local community and urged anyone who could assist the investigation to contact police.
