A new partnership between Age NI and Dalzells Beds in Markethill will give older people across Northern Ireland access to specialist advice and practical support aimed at improving sleep, comfort and independent living.

The partnership was announced on Thursday, 20 August 2026, with Age NI Charity Director Mandy Wilson joining Dalzells Beds representatives Kathryn Murdock and Sharon Dalzell at the company’s showroom in Markethill.

Advice and support for Age NI members

Age NI members will be able to access expert guidance, a dedicated showroom experience and information to help them choose comfort products suited to their individual needs. The partnership focuses on adjustable beds, recliner chairs and supportive mattresses.

Visitors to the Markethill showroom can compare products, try different comfort levels and speak with comfort specialists in a relaxed, no-pressure setting. Kathryn and Sharon Dalzell work with customers to explain available options, compare features and identify products that match their requirements.

Dalzells Beds says customers will also benefit from free delivery across Northern Ireland, free set-up and demonstrations of adjustable beds and recliner chairs, as well as guidance on VAT relief for eligible mobility products bought in Northern Ireland.

What the Markethill showroom offers

The showroom features what the business describes as one of Northern Ireland’s largest displays of adjustable beds and recliner chairs. It also includes supportive mattresses and mobility products from leading UK and Irish manufacturers.

Dalzells of Markethill was established in 1956 and has served customers throughout Northern Ireland for more than 70 years. The family-owned business specialises in beds, mattresses and comfort solutions, with particular expertise in adjustable beds, recliner chairs and supportive mattresses.

Sharon Dalzell said the partnership would help people find practical products that could make a difference to everyday life. She added that customers should be able to see, try and compare products while receiving advice from knowledgeable staff they can trust.

Mandy Wilson said Age NI wanted to help older people live well and remain independent for longer. She described Dalzells as a long-established Northern Ireland family business with a shared commitment to trusted advice, quality products and customer service.
