Halloween celebrations are coming to venues across County Armagh, with free fireworks, family activities and an evening of mythology and music among the events planned from Wednesday, October 28 to Saturday, October 31, 2026.
The biggest Armagh-based event is Samhain: The Beginning at Navan Centre and Fort Armagh on Saturday, October 31. Running from 6.30pm to 10.30pm, the experience will explore the ancient origins of Halloween through storytelling, mythology and music, inspired by the Celtic Festival. Adult tickets cost £26, while children’s tickets are priced at £17.
Free fireworks and spooky activities
A free fireworks display will be held at Craigavon Lakes on Thursday, October 29, at 7.30pm. Before the display, Rushmere Shopping Centre will host spooky entertainment including appearances by frightful characters, face painting and musical performances.
Families looking for daytime activities can visit Edenvilla Park in Portadown for a free Halloween extravaganza from Wednesday, October 28, to Friday, October 30. The programme includes pumpkin carving, marshmallow toasting and spooky tales around a fire, with sessions at 10am, 12pm and 2pm each day.
