A lasting tribute to Armagh-born composer Charles Wood has been unveiled during the city’s annual festival celebrating his music.
The first-ever bust of Wood was revealed last week as part of the Charles Wood Festival of Music. The ceremony marks a significant addition to the festival’s programme and honours the composer in the city where he was born.
Sir John Rutter unveiled the bust. The event was reported on 24 August 2026, with the festival forming the setting for the tribute to Wood’s musical legacy.
