A supported training facility in Armagh has closed, leaving a disabled adult trainee in tears, according to his mother.

The facility was operated by Appleby Trust, which said Westminster funding cuts had forced the closure. The charity’s trainees had been involved in work including producing business cards.

Angela Davison told the Belfast Telegraph: “My son and his friend cried” after they learned the facility would shut. The report described the closure as a shock for families using the supported training service.
