Armagh Observatory and Planetarium is joining forces with Ireland’s two other historic observatories in an ambitious bid to secure UNESCO World Heritage status.
The Armagh institution is working with the Birr Scientific and Heritage Foundation and Dublin Institute for Advanced Studies’ Dunsink Observatory. Together, the three sites are known as the Historic Astronomical Observatories.
