Armagh’s food and drink scene will take centre stage from 3 to 6 September 2026 as the four-day Armagh Food & Cider Festival returns with more than 40 experiences planned across the Orchard County.
The festival will give Armagh residents the opportunity to explore local food and cider close to home, while visitors will be introduced to the area’s produce, hospitality and long-established orchard culture.
What is planned for the festival
The programme will combine tastings with opportunities to discover how local food and drink are produced. Family-run orchards, cider makers, chefs and artisan producers will feature across the four-day event, with activities ranging from informal food experiences to practical, hands-on sessions.
Planned events include fire-cooked feasts, orchard tours, artisan markets, cocktail masterclasses and afternoon teas. One of the featured experiences is the Woodland Supper, where guests will dine beneath the trees.
Visitors will also be able to explore a working cider orchard with Long Meadow Cider and learn more about the production behind Armagh’s cider offering. Cider & Screams will provide a murder mystery experience intended to test guests’ detective skills.
Cooking with Fire will focus on preparing food over an open fire in a hands-on setting. The wider programme will allow attendees to move between orchard-based activities, food events and producer-led experiences.
Tickets and the Armagh Bramley Apple
Tickets and further information are available through Visit Armagh’s food and cider festival website. Booking arrangements may differ between individual experiences, so prospective attendees are advised to check the official listing for each event before booking.
The festival will celebrate the world-famous PGI Armagh Bramley Apple, as well as the people, producers and stories connected to the region’s food and drink tradition. The focus on the Bramley apple reflects Armagh’s established identity as an orchard region.
With events ranging from afternoon tea and artisan markets to interactive cooking and cider experiences, the festival will offer residents and visitors several ways to engage with Armagh’s food traditions during the four-day programme from 3 to 6 September 2026.
